چکیده
For the first time, structural dynamics and vibrational stability of a viscoelastic axially functionally graded (AFG) beam with both spinning axial motions subjected to an load are analyzed, aim enhance performance bi-gyroscopic systems. A detailed parametric study is also performed emphasize influence various key factors such as material distribution type, viscosity coefficient, coupled rotation translation on dynamical characteristics system. The properties system assumed vary linearly or exponentially in longitudinal direction effects. Adopting Laplace transform Galerkin discretization scheme, critical spin velocities obtained. An analytical approach applied identify instability thresholds. Stability maps examined, for time this paper, it demonstrated that evolution can be altered by fine-tuning grading material. variation density elastic modulus gradient parameters found have opposite effects divergence flutter boundaries Furthermore, results indicate destabilizing effect compressive significantly alleviated simultaneous determination gradation

Free Vibration of Functionally Graded Beams with Piezoelectric Layers Subjected to Axial Load
This paper studies free vibration of simply supported functionally graded beams with piezoelectric layers subjected to axial compressive loads. The Young's modulus of beam is assumed to be graded continuously across the beam thickness. Applying the Hamilton’s principle, the governing equation is established. Resulting equation is solved using the Euler’s Equation. The effects of the constituent...
متن کاملVibration Analysis of Thick Functionally Graded Beam under Axial Load Based on Two-Dimensional Elasticity Theory and Generalized Differential Quadrature
In this paper, vibration analysis of thick functionally graded beam with simply supported boundary condition under constant axial load is studied. The beam has a uniform cross-sectional area and the mechanical properties of the fungtionally graded beam are assumed to be vary through the thickness of the beam. Fundamental relations, the equilibrium and stability equations based on the displaceme...
متن کاملThe axial–torsional vibration of pretwisted beams
We investigate the coupled axial–torsional vibration of pretwisted beams. The equations of motion governing the extension, torsion, and cross-sectional warping of pretwisted beams are derived from Hamiltons principle, and the common assumptions used to simplify the equations are carefully examined through scaling analysis. Inconsistencies in previous works—such as the neglect of spatial and tim...
متن کاملAn experimental study of axial load transfer mechanisms of cable bolts using axially split embedment apparatus
The load transfer mechanisms of cable bolts differ from those for normal rebar bolts. The cable bolts used in mines are basically steel strands with different constructions depending on the number of wires or elements and the way they are laid. Tendon bolts (rebar and cable) are normally evaluated for their strength and load transfer properties. The tendon strength can be evaluated by the tensi...
متن کاملFree Vibration and Buckling of Cantilever Beams under Linearly Varying Axial Load Carrying an Eccentric End Rigid Body
Natural frequencies of a clamped axially loaded beam carrying an eccentric end rigid body are computed. A linearly varying non-follower axial force representing the beam’s own weight is taken into consideration. An analytical form of the frequency equation of the structure is obtained and solved numerically. The parameters associated with the end rigid body, the mass, the rotary inertia and the...
